COVID-19: Mexico exceeds 16,000 cases in one day

COVID-19: Mexico closes February with a cumulative of more than 500,000 infections

In the last weekly report given by the health agency, on June 6, the seven-day cumulative was 18,539 cases, that is, only 2,406 above the cumulative of the last 24 hours.

Since the beginning of the pandemic and until today, 5,923,086 positive cases have been confirmed in the country.

Regarding deaths, in one day there were 24, for a total of 325,511 since the health emergency began.

Although infections follow an upward trend, deaths remain below their daily maximum of 69, reported on June 16.

The SSa details that positive cases are more common among the female population, who represent 52.2% of them; however, deaths tend to occur more among men, with an incidence of 62%.

In the last five weeks, most of the cases are present in the groups of 18 to 29 years, followed by the group of 30 to 39 years and 40 to 49 years.

As of today’s information cutoff, there are 86,852 active cases registered, that is, they presented symptoms in the last 14 days.
