COVID-19: Mexico accumulates 5 million 506,105 infections

9 out of 10 Mexican adults vaccinated

According to the Ministry of Health, 90% of Mexicans over 18 years of age have been vaccinated against COVID, which corresponds to 85 million 179,352 people, of which 78 million 888,689 have a complete scheme and 6 million 290,663 with at least a dose.

In the advance in the states, Chiapas, Guerrero and Oaxaca report a greater lag with 70%, 75% and 78%, respectively, each one, while the majority is above 90%.

The federal agency reported that taking into account the population over 14 years of age, coverage is 87%, which means 98,378,523 people, while 26,820,408 people have already received their booster dose.

So far, Mexico has 202,459,735 vaccines against COVID-19 from seven different pharmaceutical companies. Of these, 181 million 637,603 doses have been applied until this Sunday, February 27, almost two years after the first registered case, so 20 million 822,132 remain to be injected.
