“I just asked the new Secretary of Health, Rodrigo Prado, to organize the application of the second booster dose for people over 60 years old still in April,” wrote Paes.

Residents of Rio de Janeiro over 80 have already started receiving the second booster dose of the vaccine against covid-19. The application of the so-called fourth dose began on March 24, in all basic health units.

To enable the application of the new dose to people over 60 years, it will be necessary to ensure that more vaccines are sent to the city by the Ministry of Health, responsible for the national distribution of immunizers.
