Covid-19 in Panama has 10 people in Intensive Care

Despite the fact that for today Panama does not count deaths from Covid-19, there are still people battling this disease. Currently 2,302 are carriers of this virus, of which 2,220 are in home isolation and 82 hospitalized.

According to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), those who are in isolation are divided into 2,200 in cases and 20 in hotels. Those hospitalized are 72 in the Ward and 10 in the ICU.

For today, 768,978 accumulated cases of Covid-19 were counted, of which 184 are new positive cases. An accumulated death toll of 8,179 and a lethality of 1.1% is also maintained.

There are 758,497 people recovered from the disease, of which 277 were reported as newly recovered today. For the last hours, 3,385 tests were applied for a positivity of 5.4%.

The authorities indicated that the districts that reported the most cases are: San Francisco and Betania in Panama City with 16 and 13 cases, respectively. David in Chiriquí with 10 and Rufina Alfaro in San Miguelito with 6.

Regarding the vaccination process, the Expanded Program on Immunization highlighted that to date the number of vaccines applied reaches 8,007,184 doses against Covid-19 applied throughout the national territory since Operation PanavaC-19 began.
