17 entities were left off the covid-19 list during the day of Sunday, June 5, while there are 1,033 active cases in the country
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez published in her social networks the statistics corresponding to the behavior of covid-19 in Venezuela during the day of Sunday, June 5, in which 68 new cases of the disease were detected, all by community transmission.
According to the figures presented by the authorities, this disease was detected in seven of the 24 federal entities of Venezuela, where the states of Miranda and Barinas led the list of new infections by covid-19, both accounting for 17 new patients.
In the state of Miranda, which reported 17 new cases of the virus, it had five municipalities in which these infections were reported: Sucre (7), Los Salias (6), Guaicaipuro (2), Baruta (1) and Lander (1). .
These entities are followed by the Capital District -Caracas- (16), Zulia (10), Yaracuy (5), Lara (2) and Nueva Esparta (1).
Táchira, Mérida, Trujillo, Apure, Barinas, Falcón, Portuguesa, Cojedes, Carabobo, Aragua, Guárico, Amazonas, Vargas (La Guaira), Bolívar, Anzoátegui, Monagas and Delta Amacuro are left out.

The cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours modified the global numbers that Venezuela has reported since March 13, 2020. In that sense, in the 812 days that the pandemic has been in the country, 523,901 cases have been reported with a recovery percentage of 99%, which to date translates into 517,148 people who have overcome the disease.
Currently, according to official data, there are 1,031 active cases of covid-19, of which 107 are being treated in the public network of hospitals; 76 patients in the Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers (CDI); 40 people attended private clinics and 808 patients with the disease are in home isolation or “supervised community care”.
Vice President Delcy Rodríguez did not report deaths from covid-19 during the day of Sunday, June 5, so the number of deaths recorded historically remained at 5,722.
“Special care and vaccination have been the main tool in the fight against the pandemic in Venezuela. In recent days, there have been no deaths from covid-19 in the national territory, as a result of the measures established to control the virus,” Rodríguez wrote.
