The Ministry of Health (Minsal) published this Tuesday morning the daily report on the situation of the pandemic in the country. The portfolio reported that there were 4,295 new Covid-19 infections and 10 deaths from causes associated with the disease in the last 24 hours. Likewise, active cases reached 30,217.
Of the total new cases of Covid-19, 2,758 correspond to symptomatic people and 512 do not present symptoms. In addition, 1,025 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
The variation of new confirmed cases at the national level is 0% and -16% for the comparison of seven and 14 days, respectively. Meanwhile, seven regions decrease their cases in the last seven days and eleven do so in the last two weeks.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country reaches 4,195,780. Of this total, 30,217 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 4,101,350.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 10 deaths from causes associated with Covid-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 59,393 in the country.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, the results of 25,758 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported yesterday, reaching a total of 41,761,677 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 14.27% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 10.52%.
To date, 181 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 99 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 272 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
