The Ministry of Health (Minsal) published this Tuesday morning the daily report on the situation of the pandemic in the country. The portfolio reported that there were 2,539 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours. In addition there are 10,879 active cases. No deaths from causes associated with the disease were reported.
Specifically, 2,539 new cases of Covid-19 are registered, with a positivity of 15.40% in the last 24 hours at the national level, with 14,300 exams, PCR and antigen tests. Daily positivity in the Metropolitan Region is 16.15%.
The new confirmed cases at the national level showed a variation of 7% in the last week, while in the last 14 days an increase of 54% has been registered. Meanwhile, two regions decreased their confirmed cases in the last week, and none recorded a reduction in 14 days.
Due to a lower number of death registrations due to the closure of Civil Registry offices during the legal holiday, no new deaths from Covid-19 will be reported until the report of November 3, 2022.
According to the information provided by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), the total number of deaths associated with Covid-19 amounts to 61,677 in the country, a figure that corresponds to accumulated cases until the report of October 30, 2022.
To date, 102 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 64 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 313 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
