The Ministry of Health (Minsal) published this Saturday morning a new daily report on the situation of the pandemic in the country. The portfolio reported that there were 11,906 new cases and 39 deaths in the last 24 hours. In addition, positivity at the national level reached 17.11%.
Of the total new cases, 6,616 correspond to symptomatic people and 2,113 do not present symptoms. In addition, 3,177 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
Nationally, the new confirmed cases of the last 7 days vary by -8% with respect to the previous 7 days, while the new cases of the last 14 days vary by 18% with respect to the previous 14 days.
The total number of people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the country reaches 3,948,012. Of that total, 40,835 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 3,846,091.
Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the DEIS, in the last 24 hours there were 39 deaths from causes associated with COVID-19. The total number of deaths amounts to 58,385 in the country.
Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, the results of 73,925 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported yesterday, reaching a total of 40,208,923 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 17.11% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 18.57%.
To date, 177 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 117 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there are a total of 262 critical beds available for the patient who requires it, regardless of the region where they are located.
