Covid-19: country has 21.8 million cases and 609.4 thousand deaths

Balance released this Sunday (7) by the Ministry of Health registers 6,115 new cases of covid-19 in 24 hours. The data raises to 21,880,439 the number of people infected by the disease since the beginning of the pandemic in the country. Within 24 hours, health authorities notified 59 new deaths from the new coronavirus, totaling 609,447. Yesterday, the information panel marked 609,388 accumulated deaths.

The balance also showed 201,198 people with active cases of the disease in follow-up and 21,069,794 patients recovered from the disease.

States

The states with the most deaths are: São Paulo (152,527), Rio de Janeiro (68,494), Minas Gerais (55,759), Paraná (40,616) and Rio Grande do Sul (35,632).

The units of the Federation with the fewest deaths are Acre (1845), Amapá (1993), Roraima (2,036), Tocantins (3,887) and Sergipe (6,033).
