Covid-19 cases skyrocket, confirm 845 new cases in the last 24 hours

This Wednesday, April 27, in Panama, 845 new positive cases and no deaths have been reported in the last 24 hours, for a cumulative to date of 8,183 deaths, and 773,675 confirmed cumulative cases of Covid-19, in addition to a lethality of 1.1%.

The number of recoveries amounted to 760,875 and in the last 24 hours 7,557 tests were applied for a positivity of 11.2%.

Active cases total 4,617, while 4,543 people are in home isolation, divided into 4,530 at home and 13 in hotels. Those hospitalized add up to 74, divided into 68 in the ward and 6 in the ICU.

Vaccine Report

Regarding the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), he highlighted that, in Panama, since the process began in January 2021, a total of 8,052,771 vaccines against Covid-19.

The PAI detailed that they have applied 3,463,697 first doses, 3,072,722 second doses, 11,014 third doses, 870 fourth doses to chronic patients and 1,504,450 doses of reinforcements 1 and 18 reinforcements 2.

In relation to the Pfizer pediatric vaccine, 399,368 have been applied throughout the country.
