Covid-19 cases reach 27.4 million in Brazil

The number of deaths due to complications associated with covid-19 reached 638,048 in Brazil. In 24 hours, the country recorded 896 deaths. The information is in the daily balance sheet of the Ministry of Health.Covid-19 cases reach 27.4 million in Brazil

There are still 3,160 deaths under investigation. In these cases, further tests and procedures are needed to determine whether the cause of death was covid-19.

From yesterday to today (12), 140,234 more positive diagnoses of covid-19 were registered. Since the beginning of the pandemic, there have been 27,425,743 cases.

3,102,223 patients are being followed up. The term is used to designate cases reported in the last 14 days that were neither discharged nor progressed to death.

According to the bulletin, 23,685,472 people have recovered from Covid-19. The number corresponds to 86.4% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.

States

According to the update from the Ministry of Health, São Paulo is the state with the highest number of deaths from covid-19 (161,441), followed by Rio de Janeiro (70,773) and Minas Gerais (58,411). The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the disease are Acre (1,917), Amapá (2,078) and Roraima (2,112).
