Covid-19: Cases go to 30,152,402 and deaths to 661,258

Covid-19: Brazil records 29.52 million cases and 656,425 deaths

The cases of people who caught covid-19 reached 30,152,402 this Sunday (10) In the last 24 hours, 7,210 cases of the disease were recorded. Until yesterday (9), the data panel of the Ministry of Health marked 30,145,192 accumulated cases.

The number of cases in follow-up of covid-19 is at 452,248. The term is given to designate cases reported in the last 14 days that were neither discharged nor progressed to death.

The sum of deaths caused by complications associated with covid-19 reached 661,258. Between yesterday and today, 38 new deaths were reported. Yesterday, the pandemic information system counted 661,220 deaths.

There are still 3,099 deaths under investigation. The deaths under investigation occur because there are cases in which the patient died, but the investigation if the cause was covid-19 requires further tests and procedures.

To date, 29,038,896 people have recovered from Covid-19. The number corresponds to 96.3% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.

States

According to the balance sheet of the Ministry of Health, the state with the most deaths from covid-19 recorded so far is São Paulo (167,706), followed by Rio de Janeiro (73,039), Minas Gerais (61,046), Paraná (42,978) and Rio Grande. do Sul (39,160).

The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the pandemic are Acre (1,996), Amapá (2,128), Roraima (2,146), Tocantins (4,147) and Sergipe (6,334).

Vaccination

To date, 405.3 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been applied, 173.4 million with the first dose, 152.3 million with the second dose and 4.8 million with the single dose. Another 71.2 million have already received the booster dose and 3.0 million have received an additional dose.
