Covid-19 cases drop to 2,288 on Bolivian Independence Day

2,288 positive cases of coronavirus and two deaths were the official figures released by the Government for this August 6, when Bolivia celebrates 197 years of independence. It means a reduction compared to Friday’s data.

La Paz was the department most affected with 748 cases in the last 24 hours, Cochabamba 591, Santa Cruz 345, Oruro 229, Potosí 162, Chuquisaca 115, Tarija 61, Pando 29 and closed Beni with eight reported cases.

With those data, the total number of cases in Bolivia reached 1,062,772 patients, who were declared positive for coronavirus in the laboratory. In the case of the deceased, the number reached 22,091 cases in total.

Those recovered also rose, reaching 4,063 throughout the countrywith Cochabamba as the main department with the most patients who overcame the deadly virus, 1,992 in total, Santa Cruz 1,265, Chuquisaca 402, Potosí 116, Oruro 100, La Paz 84, Beni 71, Tarija 32 and Pando, which registered one person who overcame the evil

In global figures, Bolivia has already reached 969,365 patients who passed the disease in the 29 months that the pandemic has already taken place worldwide; while the assets, 71,316 are still in the recovery process.
