Covid-19: Brazil registers 22.1 million cases and 615.6 thousand deaths

Data from the Ministry of Health released this Sunday (5) indicate that the country recorded 4,884 new diagnoses of covid-19 in 24 hours. The number raises to 22,143,091 the number of people infected by the disease since the beginning of the pandemic in the country. Deaths by the new coronavirus during the pandemic totaled 615,636. Within 24 hours, health authorities notified 66 new deaths. Yesterday, the information panel marked 615,570 accumulated deaths.

States

The states with the most deaths are: São Paulo (154,362), Rio de Janeiro (69,140), Minas Gerais (56,321), Paraná (40,809) and Rio Grande do Sul (36,203).

The units of the Federation with the fewest deaths are Acre (1,849), Amapá (2004), Roraima (2,056), Tocantins (3,922) and Sergipe (6,047).
