State and municipal health departments recorded 75,139 new cases of covid-19 in the last 24 hours across the country and confirmed 291 deaths from complications associated with the disease in the same period. (30). According to the folder, Mato Grosso do Sul did not send the number of deaths that occurred in that period in the state.
With the new information, the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus during the pandemic now totals 32,358,018.
The number of cases being monitored for covid-19 stands at 839,752. The term is given to designate cases reported in the last 14 days, in which there was no discharge or death.
With today’s numbers, the total number of deaths has reached 671,416 since the beginning of the pandemic. There are still 3,224 deaths under investigation. The occurrences involve cases in which the patient died, but the investigation into the cause – whether or not it was covid-19 – still requires additional tests and procedures.
So far, 30,846,850 people have recovered from Covid-19. The number corresponds to 95.3% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.

According to the balance sheet of the Ministry of Health, São Paulo remains the state in which more deaths from covid-19 have occurred since the beginning of the pandemic: 170,907. Then come Rio de Janeiro, with 74,134 deaths; Minas Gerais, with 62,149; Paraná, with 43,774; and Rio Grande do Sul, with 40,027.
The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the pandemic are Acre, with 2,004; Amapa, 2,140; Roraima, with 2,153; Tocantins, with 4,164; and Sergipe, with 6,358.
Vaccination
So far, 450,433,361 doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been applied, of which 178.1 million as a first dose, 161 million as a second and 4.9 million as a single dose. 94.3 million people have already received the booster dose. 94.3 million people have already received the second extra dose of vaccine. The second extra dose, or fourth dose of the vaccine, was given to 9.8 million people.
