Covid-19: Brazil records 29.52 million cases and 656,425 deaths

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Brazil has recorded 656,425 deaths from Covid-19, according to the epidemiological bulletin released today (17) by the Ministry of Health. In 24 hours, 49,601 cases were recorded. In the same period, 485 deaths from covid-19 were confirmed.

Also according to the bulletin, 28,126,647 people have recovered from the disease and 744,568 cases are being monitored.

States

São Paulo leads the number of cases, with 5.1 million, followed by Minas Gerais (3.28 million) and Paraná (2.39 million). The lowest number of cases is registered in Acre (123,500). Then appears Roraima (154.7 thousand) and Amapá (160.2 thousand).

Regarding deaths, São Paulo has the highest number of deaths (166,446), followed by Rio de Janeiro (72,360) and Minas Gerais (60,449). The lowest number of deaths is in Acre (1,990), Amapá (2,119) and Roraima (2,143).
