Covid-19: Brazil records 20,456 new cases and 198 deaths

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Brazil has registered 29,069,469 confirmed cases of covid-19, according to the epidemiological bulletin released today (7) by the Ministry of Health. The total number of deaths from the disease is 652,341.Covid-19: Brazil records 20,456 new cases and 198 deaths

In 24 hours, 20,456 cases were recorded. In the same period, 198 deaths of victims of the virus were confirmed.

According to the same bulletin, 27,179,192 people have recovered from the disease and 1,237,936 cases are being monitored.

States

São Paulo leads the number of cases, with 5.06 million, followed by Minas Gerais (3.23 million) and Paraná (2.35 million). The smallest number of cases is registered in Acre (122.6 thousand). Then appears Roraima (154 thousand) and Amapá (160.1 thousand).

Regarding deaths, São Paulo has the highest number of deaths (165,295), followed by Rio de Janeiro (71,977) and Minas Gerais (59,991). The lowest number of deaths is in Acre (1,981), Amapá (2,113) and Roraima (2,137).

Vaccination

To date, 380.3 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been applied, 170 million with the first dose and 146.2 million with the second dose. The single dose was given to 4.7 million people. Another 56.9 million have already received the booster dose.
