The epidemiological bulletin released by the Ministry of Health on Tuesday (18) points out that Brazil has recorded, since the beginning of the pandemic, 687,326 deaths from covid-19. According to the folder, the total number of confirmed cases of the disease is 34,762,873.
In 24 hours, 8,283 new cases were recorded. In the same period, 83 deaths of covid-19 victims were confirmed. Also according to the bulletin, 33,984,783 people have recovered from the disease and 90,764 cases are being monitored.
Tocantins and Ceará did not update the data on Tuesday.
States
According to the data released, São Paulo leads the number of cases, with 6.12 million, followed by Minas Gerais (3.88 million) and Paraná (2.75 million). The smallest number of cases is registered in Acre (149.7 thousand). Then appears Roraima (175 thousand) and Amapá (178.3 thousand).
Regarding deaths, according to the most recent data, São Paulo has the highest number (175,334), followed by Rio de Janeiro (75,766) and Minas Gerais (63,842). The lowest number of deaths is in Acre (2,029), Amapá (2,164) and Roraima (2,175).
Vaccination
According to the Ministry of Health, 486,094,373 doses of vaccines were applied against covid-19, of which 180.1 million were the first dose and 161.8 million were the second dose. The single dose has been given to more than 5 million people.
