The sum of people infected by the coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic reached 30,355,919. In 24 hours, 6,456 cases of covid-19 were confirmed, according to the information system of the Ministry of Health.
The number of cases being monitored for covid-19 is 281,384. The term is given to designate cases reported in the last 14 days that were not discharged and did not result in death.
The number of lives lost due to problems related to covid-19 reached 662,722. Between yesterday and today, 76 deaths were recorded.
There are still 3,135 deaths under investigation. Investigative deaths occur due to the fact that there are cases in which the patient died, but the investigation if the cause was covid-19 still requires further tests and procedures.
According to the bulletin, 29,411,813 people have recovered from Covid-19. The number corresponds to 96.9% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.
The data are in the update of the Ministry of Health released this Monday (25). It consolidates the information sent by municipal and state health departments on cases and deaths associated with covid-19. Data on deaths in Mato Grosso do Sul were not included in today’s balance sheet.
The numbers are generally lower on Sundays, Mondays or the days following holidays due to the reduction of teams to feed the data. On Tuesdays and two days after holidays, there are generally more daily records due to the accumulation of updated data.
States
According to the balance of the Ministry of Health, the state of São Paulo is the one with the highest number of cases, with 5.36 million, followed by Minas Gerais (3.35 million) and Paraná (2.44 million). The Federation units with the lowest number of cases are Acre (124,670), Roraima (155,670) and Amapá (160,380).
The Federation Units with the most deaths from Covid-19 recorded so far are the states of São Paulo (168,009), Rio de Janeiro (73,233), Minas Gerais (61,227), Paraná (43,075) and Rio Grande do Sul. South (39,255).
The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the pandemic are Acre (2,000), Amapá (2,130), Roraima (2,147), Tocantins (4,150) and Sergipe (6,342).
Vaccination
To date, 410.9 million doses of vaccines against covid-19 have been applied, 174.4 million with the first dose, 153.7 million with the second dose and 4.8 with the single dose. A further 73.7 million received the booster dose and 3.1 million the additional dose.
