This data raises to 21,821,124 the number of people infected by the disease since the beginning of the pandemic in the country. Yesterday (1), the statistics panel registered 21,814,693 accumulated cases.
Deaths from the new coronavirus throughout the pandemic surpassed 608,000. Within 24 hours, health authorities notified 149 new deaths, totaling 608,071. Yesterday, the information panel marked 607,922 accumulated deaths.
The balance also showed 197,177 patients in follow-up and 21,015,876 recovered from the disease.
Condolences
Through the social network Twitter, the Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, took advantage of the Day of the Dead holiday to express condolences to the victims of the disease. He also thanked the health professionals who died working on the front lines.
Covid-19 in the states
The states with the most deaths are as follows: São Paulo (152,081), Rio of January (68,383), Minas Gerais (55,592), Paraná (40,523) and Rio Grande do Sul (35,512).
The Federation units with fewer deaths are Acre (1,845), Amapá (1993), Roraima (2030), Tocantins (3,881) and Sergipe (6,031).
