Covid-19 balance: there are 13,198 new cases, 51 registered deaths and a national positivity of 15.11%

The Ministry of Health delivered this Thursday a new report on Covid-19 in Chile, on a day marked by 13,198 new cases.

According to today’s report, of the 13,198 new cases, 7,350 correspond to symptomatic people and 2,332 do not present symptoms. In addition, 3,516 Positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.

The total number of people who have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in the country reaches 4,344,910. Of this total, 43,706 patients are in the active stage. The recovered cases are 4,235,360.

Regarding deaths, according to the information provided by the Department of Statistics and Health Information (DEIS), in the last 24 hours there were 51 deaths from causes associated with COVID-19. The total number of deceased amounts to 59,896 in the country.

To date, 167 people are hospitalized in Intensive Care Units, of which 107 are supported by mechanical ventilation. In relation to the Integrated Health Network, there is a total of 246 critical beds available.

Regarding the Laboratory Network and diagnostic capacity, the results of 90,270 PCR tests and antigen tests were reported yesterday, reaching a total of 42,715,505 analyzed nationwide to date. The positivity for the last 24 hours at the country level is 15.11% and in the Metropolitan Region it is 11.98%.
