The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where it reported 7,149 new cases, of which 3,719 correspond to symptomatic people and 975 did not present symptoms. In addition, 2,455 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 3,901,215 and the recovered patients reached 3,791,809 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
On the other hand, the death of 26 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 58,277 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 13.37% nationwide.
As for active cases, these reached 48,730 people and PCR tests amounted to 52,158 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 39,927,737.
Meanwhile, there are 184 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 114 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 2,026 critical beds enabled and 282 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 14.63%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Valparaíso, O’Higgins, Metropolitana and Coquimbo.
