The Ministry of Health made a new balance on the situation of Covid-19 in the country, where it reported 24,970 new cases, of which 14,827 correspond to symptomatic people and 2,572 did not present symptoms. In addition, 7,571 positive PCR tests were recorded that were not reported.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 2,431,845 and the recovered patients reached 2,251,828 since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
On the other hand, the death of 27 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, reaching 40-087 since the start of the pandemic, while positivity reached 23.1% nationwide.
As for active cases, these reached 133,080 people and PCR tests amounted to 96,219 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching the total amount of 30,908,115.
Meanwhile, there are 652 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 528 are supported by mechanical ventilation. The hospital capacity has 2,114 critical beds enabled and 222 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 21.24%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are Maule, Los Lagos, Ñuble and Biobío.
