The Ministry of Health detailed 1,985 new cases, of which 1,303 correspond to symptomatic people and 137 did not present symptoms. In addition, 545 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 4,963,204. and recovered patients reached 4,878,662. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 4 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 62,749 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 13.45% nationwide.
Regarding active cases, these reached 6,590 people and PCR tests amounted to 11,169 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,328,558.
Meanwhile, there are 113 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 92 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,816 critical beds enabled and 308 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 11.04%, while the regions with the highest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta and Los Lagos.
