Santo Domingo.- The Fourth Court of Instruction of the National District lifted this Thursday the impediment to leaving the country for the former Minister of Tax authoritiesÁngel Donald Guerrero Ortiz, one of the defendants in the corruption case dismantled through Operation Squid.
Judge Altagracia Ramírez maintained the periodic presentation, by which the former minister must appear before the judicial authorities on the first Tuesday of each month.
Likewise, the First Criminal Chamber of the Court of Appeal of the National District ratified the continuity of Judge Altagracia Ramírez to preside over the preliminary hearing of the case, which involves former officials.

The next hearing was set for Monday, September 30.
The investigative body accuses the former official of leading a network dismantled with the operation squid which, according to the request for a coercive measure, used at least 11 institutions with which it managed the irregular expropriations of land, the illegal charging of lottery banks, sports banks and businesses with slot machines, as well as the purchase of real estate at an extra cost.
