The 2nd Trial Court of San Juan de los Morros (Guárico) issued a 30-year prison sentence against José Gregorio Rodríguez (42) and Karina del Rosario Ojeda (44) after finding them guilty of the murder of the sisters Imelda del Carmen Brugera Alvarado (69), retired teacher and Adleni Josefina Brugera Alvarado (54), dentist.
This double homicide occurred in October 2020 in San Juan de los Morros (Guárico). Relatives of the Brugera sisters reported to the Cicpc that they had been missing since October 10.
A cousin went to their residence, located on the national highway of the plains, house 259, and there they told him that they were on a trip. Subsequently, a commission from the cicpc visited the property and began a series of interrogations of the occupants of the house who fell into contradictions.
During the interviews, the subjects confessed that they murdered the Brugera sisters by suffocation, and buried their bodies in a house located on Santa Eduvigis street, Valle Verde sector of the guariqueña capital.
José Gregorio and Karina led the officials to the site where the Brugera sisters had been buried. It was a wall where the two corpses were embedded, whose remains were rescued.
Once the crime had been committed, Karina had placed five vehicles and other properties belonging to the Bruguera sisters in her name.
For this reason, the subjects were sentenced due to their incursion in the crimes of qualified intentional homicide, with treachery and conspiracy in the execution of a robbery.
A third convicted in that file is Yudith Teresa Castillo Navarro (46), who must serve 15 years in prison for having been found guilty as an unnecessary accomplice in the double homicide, said the judicial source.
