The 4th Antiterrorist Court of Caracas revoked the precautionary measure that it had granted to Oswaldo José Cheremos Carrasquel, designated as a member of the criminal organization Tren del Llano, judicial sources said.
Cheremos Carrasquel had been free since January 9 when they ordered to open a trial in that condition, in addition to the obligation to appear every five years before the 4th Anti-Terrorist Court. Precisely this Wednesday when he went to the Palace of Justice in Caracas, he was informed that said precautionary measure was revoked by Judge José Maxcimino.
The subject is accused of illegal arms and ammunition trafficking, concealment in the crime of terrorism and association, the source explained. This subject was arrested on October 21, 2022 in Zaraza (Guárico) and they seized 6 weapons of war in addition to 182 cartridges.
His arrest occurs after a video was released showing Cheremos receiving a group of men carrying long and short weapons. The material was recorded on a farm whose property is attributed to Cheremos located in the Los Recortes sector, San José de Unare parish, Pedro Zaraza municipality.
The revocation of the benefit to Charemos Carrasquel occurred after the Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice reviewed the file and observed that the subject did not qualify to receive a precautionary measure, being accused of serious crimes, revealed a source.
