SANTO DOMINGO.- Due to the inclusion of new evidence, the start of the substantive trial against the driver leader Arsenio Quevedo and others involved, accused of being part of a network that was dedicated to killing drivers for control of transportation routes in 2015, was postponed yesterday. .
The postponement was carried out by the Fourth Collegiate Court of the National District, setting the hearing for next Tuesday the 17th of this month at 9:00 in the morning.
“The issue is that there is a resolution of a new evidence that the Public Ministry deposited, that the court should have notified the lawyers and they did not notify it,” said Plutarco Jáquez, representative of former councilor Erickson de los Santos Solís (Ney).
Jáquez explained that they have a tentative calendar that would be January 17, 19 and 24.
It is recalled that those involved Quevedo and De los Santos were discharged from having participated in the crime, but the Court of Appeals annulled that 2018 sentence.
