The Talagante Guarantee Court accepted the request of the Prosecutor’s Office and decreed the precautionary measure of preventive detention for a mother and her partner accused of the homicide of a three-year-old child, in the commune of Padre Hurtado, Metropolitan region.
Let us remember that the minor died on Wednesday night at the Félix Bulnes Hospital. He had serious injuries, such as cigarette burns and signs of having been tied up, as well as respiratory problems.
The Public Ministry charged the stepfather with the crime of qualified homicide with the aggravating circumstance of cruelty, as the perpetrator. Meanwhile, the mother was formalized for the crime of parricide by omission.
Prosecutor Pablo Sabaj pointed out that the stepfather’s last attack caused the minor a head injury, which caused his death, the slogan Radio Bio Bio. The persecutor also stated that the mother was present during the abuse episodes.
The court set six months of investigation.
