Samaná– The Collegiate Court of the Judicial District of Samaná sentenced a man found to sexually violate a woman in the Sánchez municipality, Samaná province, in 2023.
The Court, composed of Judges Edward José Soto Soto, Martha Mireya Indhira Javier Cedano and Eriberto Luis Jhonson issued the sentence against José Luis Nolasco, after establishing that he committed the facts to the detriment of women, whose name is omitted to protect Your identity.
The Public Ministry stated in the accusatory file that the woman was sleeping in her home on the day the event occurred, on September 1, 2023. It indicates that the victim, who has a physical disability, was alone in the place .
It details that Nolasco committed the fact after entering said house after breaking a door.
Prosecutor Porfiria Espino Calcaño conducted the investigation of the case and the litigation was in charge of the prosecutor Anni Concepción.
In the process, the Public Ministry supported the accusation with different evidence, including a report from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).
The judges issued the sentence against Nolasco by declaring it guilty of violating article 331, paragraph 3, of the Dominican Criminal Code, ordering its compliance in the public prison of Samaná.
