Couple sought to kidnap a young man by arranging an appointment with the woman and they ended up killing him

The Prosecutor’s Office requested that a man and a woman be sentenced to 25 years and 20 and a half years in prison, respectively, for having deceived another young man in order to kidnap him and whom they ended up killing. The event occurred in September 2021 in Piedras Blancas and in the coming days the accusation control hearing will take place —in which the evidence that will go to trial is debated— to then give way to the oral trial.

According to the tax accusation signed by the Homicide Associate Prosecutor Micaela Dávila, the victim of the crime attended an address in the Piedras Blancas neighborhood on September 14, 2021 because it was what he had arranged with the defendant (who is currently 20 years old). . She went there in a black Peugeot car. He was going to meet her, with whom he had been talking for a month on social networks and WhatsApp and with whom he had made “a paid appointment”.

But this young woman had a partner, the other defendant (who is 23 years old today). Prior to the victim’s arrival at the address she summoned him to, witnesses saw the couple walking together in the area.

The crime occurred when the victim was looking for the address and stopped her car looking for the door number to which she had summoned him.

At that moment, three men approached the car and approached the victim to rob him, while the defendant waited watching from the house he shared with his partner. But after that, he got out and carrying a firearm he went —along with another of the men who was there— to the driver’s side and another got into the car from behind.

As a result, the victim started the car to try to flee, but at that moment he was “hit by a shot from a firearm” made by the defendant, according to the prosecution. The attackers escaped and the young man died inside his car, which was left in the middle of the street.

The crime was solved because the defendant immediately turned herself in to the Police and “gave details of the plan carried out to pillage” the person who was murdered.

The 2nd Shift Homicide Prosecutor, headed by prosecutor Mirta Morales, requested that the man be sentenced for the crime of special and very particularly aggravated homicide, crime of carrying and possession of a firearm in a public place sentenced to 25 years in prison. Regarding the woman, she requested her conviction as co-perpetrator of the crime of special and very specially aggravated homicide. sentenced to 20 years and six months in prison.

The accusation —signed by the associate of that prosecutor’s office, Dávila— expresses that the aggravating factors of the homicide is that it was committed to commit another crime —the robbery—, that it occurred at night and that there was multiple participation. The mitigating factors, in the case of the young woman, are the relative minority of age (she was under 21 when she committed the crime), that she has no criminal record and that she collaborated with the investigation. In the defendant’s case, the only mitigating factor is not having a prior criminal record.

In the next few days the accusation control hearing will take place —where the evidence that enters the trial will be debated— and after that the oral trial will begin. Meanwhile, the two defendants remain in preventive detention.
