Couple arrested in the Colón municipality with 67 cocaine fingers

A couple with a package containing 67 cocaine finger cots was arrested by officials attached to Detachment 115 and the GNB National Anti-Drug Command, at the Citizen Service Point (PAC) Redoma El Conuco, Santa Cruz parish, Colón municipality, Zulia state.

This is how the GJ reports it. Domingo Hernández Lárez, Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, on his Twitter @dhernandezlarez, in which he adds that the citizens are used by the TANCOL groups as mules to bring the proceeds of drug trafficking into the national territory.

According to military sources, the man and woman were transporting 1,145 kg of cocaine in 67 finger cot-type wrappers. They tried to use a gift bag as camouflage, but were discovered by sniffing dogs trained to detect the drug.

According to the information offered in a minute of the GNB-D115, those involved were identified as: Janer Jesús León Ramírez, 36, and Claudia Liliana Urrego Bolívar, 54, and accused of transporting the drug. Both were traveling on a black BR-150 model Bera motorcycle.

Both the evidence and the prisoners were placed at the order of the lawyer Jhon Urdaneta, head of the Prosecutor’s Office No. 16 of the Public Ministry.

In this regard, the GB Erasmo Eduardo Ramos Iriza, Commander of Zone No. 11 Zulia of the Bolivarian National Guard, indicated that by instructions of the Minister of Defense GJ, Vladimir Padrino, in Zulia the mission of combating the drug trafficking, by dismantling laboratories and capturing “the mules” that the Tancol groups use for this type of crime.

GJ. Domingo Hernández Lárez emphasized that “a country is built with hands, detachment, effort and sacrifice of hard-working men and women, defenders of republican causes that have allowed the birth and consolidation of the country.”

Commander Hernández Lárez specified that the combat patrols travel daily through the border geographic space on security and territorial integrity missions.

The procedure was carried out at the Citizen Service Point (PAC) Redoma El Conuco in the municipality of Colón.
