State and municipal health departments recorded 11,722 new cases of covid-19 and 92 deaths in 24 hours. The data are in the daily update of the Ministry of Health.
With the new information released today, the total number of people infected with the new coronavirus during the pandemic amounts to 34,467,867.
The number of cases in follow-up of covid-19 stands at 270,291. The term is given to designate cases reported in the last 14 days that were not discharged and did not result in death.
With today’s numbers, the total number of deaths has reached 684,354 since the beginning of the pandemic. There are still 3,170 deaths under investigation. The occurrences involve cases in which the patient died, but the investigation if the cause was covid-19 still requires additional tests and procedures.
So far, 33,513,322 people have recovered from Covid-19. The number corresponds to 97.2% of those infected since the beginning of the pandemic.

In today’s balance sheet, several federation units did not update the data: Federal District, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso do Sul (did not update the number of deaths), Mato Grosso, Rio de Janeiro, Roraima, Pernambuco and Tocantins.
According to the bulletin, at the top of the ranking of states with the most deaths from covid-19 recorded so far are São Paulo (174,271), Rio de Janeiro (75,479) and Minas Gerais (63,600).
The states with the fewest deaths resulting from the pandemic are Acre (2,027), Amapá (2,158) and Roraima (2,172).
