Country receives 1.8 million pediatric doses from Pfizer on Monday

According to the ministry, the new batch will have 1.8 million doses of the vaccine. The flight arrives at Viracopos Airport, in Campinas (SP), and the immunizing agents will then be distributed to the states.

So far, the Ministry of Health has already received 4.2 million doses of the specific vaccine for the public aged 5 to 11 years. As for adults, complete immunization provides for two doses, with an interval of eight weeks between them.

The pediatric dose is different from the vaccine that is given to adults: the color of the vial is orange and the dosage is lower.
