As to Popular Renewaleverything seems to indicate that there would be no problem with registration. The JEE declared the two charges against the political organization unfounded.
According to the electoral body, no electoral infraction was proven in the development of the party’s internal elections on November 30, as established in article 24 of the Law of Political Organizations (LOP).
As recalled, the objections filed against the Renovación Popular presidential formula denounced that the party allegedly did not hold its internal elections, as stated in its internal statute.
Mario Vizcarra could be left out of the 2026 Elections
On the other hand, the candidacy of Mario Vizcarra could be left out. The JEE of Lima Centro 1 must resolve three blemishes against Vizcarra because, according to reports, the candidate for the presidential seat recorded a sentence for embezzlement on his resume when he worked in Moquegua.
They argued that the JEE should apply article 107, literal j), of the Organic Law of Elections (LOE), which prevents convicted persons from running with these records. For its part, Perú Primero indicated that the TC issued rulings in which the issue would have been settled.
However, Mario Vizcarra’s future could take another setback for two reasons. The first is because the JEE of Lima Centro 2 declared his candidacy for the Senate inadmissible for having placed said background on his resume. In this way, the responsibility is placed on JEE Lima Centro 1 to make a decision.
On the other hand, the president of the Constitutional Court (TC), Luz Pachecodeclared that Vizcarra would have impediments to participate in the 2026 Elections. “The previous collegiate majority determined that people who have been convicted of this type of crime, even if they are rehabilitated, cannot participate,” he said.
Country Advances: a blemish that has not yet been resolved
Meanwhile, a citizen presented an objection against the presidential plan of Country Advances for allegedly having violated electoral regulations and the party’s statute during the internal elections.
The citizen questioned the Affidavit of Resume (DJHV) of Joseph Williams within the framework of your declaration of income from assets and income. According to the report, Williams declared that he received S/187,200 monthly, which is why the complainant describes it as a “ridiculous sum when compared to other congressmen” who also run for the same party.
In contrast to other parliamentarians, the citizen specified that Adriana Tudela, Alejandro Cavero, Dina Gonzales and others declared between S/423,000 and S/431,000. For that reason, he indicated that Williams had failed to declare his information and, therefore, requested the annulment of the presidential plan.
Crisis in APRA: JEE keeps registration of the list of deputies on hold due to internal conflicts
He Special Electoral Jury (JEE) of Lima Oeste 3 decided to keep the registration of the list of candidates for the Chamber of Deputies of the Peruvian Aprista Party (APRA) for Metropolitan Lima, due to internal disputes between leaders and activists of the political organization ahead of the 2026 Elections.
According to Resolution No. 00007-2026-JEE-LIO3/JNE, the Special Electoral Jury (JEE) made this decision after receiving multiple complaints from applicants, who alleged that the results of the internal elections were not respected. They indicated that the political organization did not correctly assign the numbers obtained in the internal elections and, instead, placed invited candidates in those positions.
