In a statement to its employees, NASA points out that the servers of the startup Chinese “operate outside the United States, raising concerns about privacy and national security.” Already the Italian data protection authority (GPDP) determined that those responsible for DeepSeek restrict the processing of Italian user information, in accordance with national protection laws, and has established a process to investigate the Chinese company’s performance in the country.
