On March 8, Colombia will decide its representatives in the Senate, Chamber and presidency.
News Colombia.
Businessmen in Colombia still have time to nominate their collaborators as electoral jurors for the elections on March 8, 2026, a key process to strengthen transparency and democratic legitimacy. This is remembered by different union and social organizations in Valle del Cauca, which have been promoting this citizen participation initiative in view of the next elections.

According to the information disclosed by the Registry, companies have until Saturday January 10 to upload the database of its workers and employees, who could be taken into account in the voting jury selection process. This management must be carried out before the National Registry of Civil Status, the entity in charge of organizing and supervising the electoral process in the country.
The call is aimed especially at the business sector, taking into account their ability to provide suitable human talent and contribute to the smooth development of election day. The timely and complete sending of information is essential to guarantee an adequate and transparent selection of the jurors who will be in charge of the voting stations.
The promoting organizations emphasize that the participation of citizens as jurors is not only a legal obligation, but also an exercise of democratic responsibility. Having prepared and committed jurors reduces risks, strengthens confidence in the results and contributes to the transparency of the electoral process.
They are more than 850,000 Colombians who will be in charge of the electoral process in the elections to the Senate, House of Representatives and presidency of the Republic: “They are the ones who direct the voting, receive the citizens, fill out the minutes, count the votes and fill out the minutes of the table scrutiny that will be used by the scrutiny commissions.”

Likewise, it is highlighted that this call is an invitation for companies, unions and private entities to actively get involved in the construction of more reliable electoral processes. “The participation of everyone as voting jurors is a valuable contribution to electoral transparency,” the message disseminated underlines.
For those who require more information about the process, the Vallecaucana Action Unit (UAV) established contact channels through its executive director, Javier Valencia Fernández, who reiterated the call not to miss the deadline and to join efforts from the productive sector to guarantee clean and transparent elections in 2026.
