Panama closed without deaths, due to Covid’19, in its epidemiological report for the last 24 hours, according to the Ministry of Health (Minsa), this is the second day of March without deaths from this disease.
According to the authorities, the country has had a sustained decrease in new cases for seven weeks, for which they call on the population not to lower their guard against the virus, continue to comply with biosecurity measures for the use of masks, hand washing and physical distancing.
This report highlights that in the last 24 hours they have recorded 365 new positive cases, for a cumulative of 762,008 cases.
The report highlights that there are 751,437 recovered people, of which 218 were added as newly recovered. 7,540 were applied for a positivity of 4.9%.
Active cases total 2,412, of which 2,269 are in home isolation and 143 hospitalized.
Regarding vaccination, the Expanded Program on Immunization (PAI) reports that 7,869,265 doses against Covid-19 have been applied in the country, of which 3,429,338 have been applied in the first dose; 3,011,586 in the second dose and 1,417,073 in the booster dose.
