The nationalist councillor Fabio Aguirre, after a period of absence, returned to the sessions of the local Municipality and did so with several requests, questioning that “there are children and stepchildren” in terms of responding to the needs of the population. The same was done by the Lighting Department.
Among the requests made by the nationalist councilor (María de Lima sector), in a session of the Palmirense municipality, appears the placement of a fence at the entrance of the storm drain pipe at Corbacho beach, where currently “there is only a rod across and if a small creature falls, it disappears.”
“I reiterated the request to lift the palm tree that is leaning and in danger of falling in Plaza 33. Find a solution for the ditches on Varela and Oriente streets, at the height of the former soccer field of the Independiente Club, as the streets have become narrow and have deep gutters. Repair and asphalting of Vaimaca Pirú streets between the United States and San Salvador and Brazil from Oriente to Vaimaca Pirú.
The request for lighting on Del Medio Street between Durazno and San José is also repeated. The representative says he does not understand the delay, because he knows that a partner of the lighting director, Néstor Bermúdez, requested the service for that area of the city on Tuesday and already had the lights installed on Friday. “We will have to be a partner of the lighting director” to get light, he says.
He was also critical when asking about drainage pipes for family entrances. Mayor Agustín Callero said: “they are not given, the municipality sends them for construction work.” Councilman Aguirre says: “apparently there are children and stepchildren.” He maintains that he is aware that they have been granted and even, “that it was a machine of the municipality to make entrances for them, on land that has a value of 40 or 50 thousand dollars, not for anyone.”
