Council of trade unions and coca growers gives the Government two weeks to meet its demands and warns of a national blockade

A council led this Monday by trade unions and coca producers from La Paz determined give the Government a period of 14 days to meet its demandsOtherwise, they will initiate blockades throughout the country.

Two mobilizations, one that started from the brewery bridge, the beginning of the highway to El Alto, and another from Villa Fátima, converged in the Plaza Mayor of San Francisco, where the resolutions were announced.

“What we have agreed with the leaders is to give the central government a period of 14 days, if you ignore it, we will have to block the entire national territory”, said the leader of the merchants of the Alteña city, Toño Siñani.

There are seven resolutions that were put to the consideration of the people who came to that point from the seat of government. “Freedom for the prisoners of Adepcoca, Comcipo and other organizations, in addition to demanding respect for trade union immunity; the cessation of the persecution of the leaders of the different social organizations; and that the Government create policies for the protection of national production.

Also, demand the abrogation of laws 906 (general of coca) and 1455 (protection of Activities Developed by Self-Employed Union Workers), in addition to decree 4757, which establishes the “effective collaborator” in the fight against corruption.

“We demand from the Government the real economic reactivation that guarantees a profit that covers the basic needs of families and We demand that the Government carry out the census in 2023”, add the concentration determinations.
