Through an inter-institutional agreement, the Council of the Magistracy will deliver a complete copy of the Real Rights database to the Agency for Electronic Government and Information and Communication Technologies (Agectic), of the Ministry of Justice. This information was disseminated by the rector of the Gabriel René Moreno University, Vicente Cuéllar.
The addendum was signed on December 29 of last year, which complements the cooperation agreement between these two institutions signed on March 4, 2022.
The document signed by the president of the Council Mirtha Gaby Meneses, the Minister of Justice Iván Lima, and the executive general director of Agetic, Vladimir Terán Gutiérrez, establishes the sharing of information for the implementation of the “new management model and unique management system of services and real rights registrations, safeguarding and taking care that the information shared is secure, to avoid its misuse and not be used by private persons”.
In subsection “e” of the fifth clause of the Addendum, in the obligations for the Judicial Council, it states: “In coordination with the Public Registry of Property Rights (The Council) exceptionally, it will provide Agetic, within 30 calendar days from the signing of this addendum, a complete copy of all the databases of Real Rights records for consolidation, diagnosis and identification of inconsistencies in information, within the framework of current electronic government and information security policies”.
According to the document, Agetic has the obligation to have and use specialized software and hardware that guarantees the security, integrity, traceability and confidentiality of the information that has been provided.
Likewise, it is obliged to deliver consolidated and contrasted information to the Council of the Magistracy and the Public Registry of Property Rights within 120 calculable calendar days from the reception of the databases.
