The Minister council lead by Alberto Otárola will give a press conference at 3:00 pm, after meeting with the President Dina Boluarte. This meeting takes place within the framework of the indefinite national strike adopted in different regions of the country and the next order of the confidence vote of the ministerial cabinet before the Congress of the republicscheduled for next January 10.
In the morning, Otárola met with representatives of the Fuerza Popular bench, who affirmed that they will give confidence to his cabinet. Patricia Juarez, spokeswoman for this parliamentary group, confirmed that they will support the government ministers of the President Dina Boluarte “by listening to the work guidelines” exposed by the premier.
“The president of the Council of Ministers (Alberto Otárola) has asked that he be given the confidence vote. Us, By listening and analyzing the issues, we believe that there should be no problem in giving the cabinet confidence because we are betting on governability, on the tranquility of the country,” he said.
At six in the afternoon, the prime minister will meet for the same purpose with the Popular Action group. Other groups such as Alianza para el Progreso have already announced that they will support the cabinet; However, from the other side, Peru Libre announced that they will not grant a vote of confidence.
