On the occasion of celebrating this Saturday the National Youth Dayhe Council of Aldermen of the National District recognized 26 young people for their outstanding community, political, sports, social and entrepreneurship careers.
The recognition was granted through the Resolution 2-2026which recognizes young people with ages between 21 and 35 yearswho have stood out in the different constituencies that make up the National District. Those honored were proposed by several councilors.
The president of Council of Aldermen, Youany Moyastated that this initiative seeks to highlight the human talent of men and women selected on the basis of their merits and community service. He urged them to continue being an example for other young people of the National Districtpromoting positive actions in their environments.

For his part, Vice Mayor Stalin Alcántara highlighted that Mayor Carolina Mejía believes, trusts and supports the youth of the capital. He pointed out that this recognition should be assumed as a symbol of commitment and motivation to become better people and citizens.
Alcántara urged young people to continue working for the most important thing a city has: its people, and did not rule out that some of the honorees could, in the future, occupy one of the seats of the Council of Aldermen.
