The president of the Bolivian Football Federation (FBF), Fernando Costa, affirmed that the Cruceña Football Association (ACF) meets the requirement to promote the construction of a “fully equipped” training center in this department. The authority; however, he did not say where the financing will come from, nor how much the investment would be.
“We have as part of the work plan of this management, the construction of nine fully equipped training centers. The requirement that is demanded is to have property titles and the Cruceña Football Association (ACF) perfectly meets this requirement,” he said. the authority in his recent visit to the Santa Cruz capital.
Costa left it in the hands of the Santa Cruz soccer leadership so that the procedures can be streamlined and the aforementioned project is given the green light. “It is a matter of the leadership of the ACF getting up to date and being able to carry out their procedureso that this work can start as soon as possible”, he indicated.
Another of the intentions that the top leader of Bolivian soccer also mentioned is the construction of a new building for the FBF in Santa Cruz. He pointed out that the idea is to build on the ACF premises, which are located in front of the Viru Viru International Airport. “This is going to depend on the will of the Santa Cruz leadership so that it can give up a space on that important property,” he said.
Regarding Costa’s announcements, the president of the ACF, Noel Montaño, was pleased and announced that he will make the arrangements to try to materialize the mentioned works. “I want to thank the president for the announcement he made, we are going to take steps and we will work for the good of Santa Cruz soccer. Hopefully it will be a reality”, said Montaño.
As for the intention to build a building for the FBF on the ACF land, Montaño said that this proposal should be debated. and analyze in an assembly of the institution.
“It would benefit us because it would give a surplus value to the land of the Édgar Peña (stadium)but that will be subject to the approval of all the associates, although I believe that this is the path for the benefit of Santa Cruz soccer, “he added.
The construction of the training centers in the nine departments was one of the tasks mentioned by Costa after his election on January 28 this year.
Let us remember that the man from La Paz has been in command of the FBF since November 4, 2020. He was appointed to conclude the management of the late César Salinas, but later obtained the support of the clubs and associations to continue in office (there were elections) until 2026.
