Cosse questions President Lacalle Pou and accuses him of campaigning after presidential debate

The vice presidential candidate for the Frente Amplio, Carolina Cosse, expressed harsh criticism of President Luis Lacalle Pou, pointing out that his recent statements in the framework of the presidential debate show that he is “campaigning,” something contrary to what is established in the Constitution. of the Republic.

In a press conference, Cosse stated: “Absolutely agree, there is no more truth than reality, that is why I ask people, all that wonder that the other candidate Delgado described, do you see it in everyday life? Do the people, the people, feel that we are better in security? Do you feel that we are better in the economy and in work? So, reality has to be truly known to transform it.”

The statements arose after Lacalle Pou suggested that some politicians should travel further into the country to learn the reality. In response, Cosse described the president’s attitude as “sad”: “How the president moves on the ledge, how sad that we have a president campaigning. “It is not the Uruguay that I want.”
