The mayor of Montevideo, Carolina Cosse, asked undecided voters this Saturday to vote annulled in the referendum that challenges 135 articles of the Urgent Consideration Law (LUC), which will take place on March 27.
“We collected a huge number of signatures so that people had the opportunity to be undecided. If people do not come to a definition, which is absolutely respectable, do not be fooled by the blank vote. Voting blank is voting ‘No’. If you did not define yourself, vote a ‘Yes’ ballot and a ‘No’ ballot and cancel the vote,” Cosse said in statements collected by Telemundo.
Even campaign closing
According to the latest survey published last week by Equipos Consultores, 35% are willing to vote “No” while 34% would put the “Yes” ballot in the envelope.
On the other hand, an important segment of 28% are still undecided, and they are the ones Cosse addressed; 2% said that he would annul his vote and 1% will vote blank.
