Cosco Shipping warns of work scams in Chancay megaport

Cosco Shipping, the company that operates the Megapuerto de Chancay, alerts citizens about the improper use of their name to offer false jobs, a modality of fraud that seeks to deceive applicants.

Through an official statement, Cosco Shipping Ports Chancay Peru (CSPCP) reported that the scammers are asking those interested in registration in certain specialization courses in exchange for alleged jobs within the port.

“We warn that this information is completely false,” said the Chinese capital firm that manages the port of Chancay.

The company also emphasized that its only official recruitment channels are:

  • Selection email: [email protected]
  • LinkedIn profile
  • Official website of Cosco Shipping Chancay Peru

“Any communication or offer that comes from other channels does not belong to our company,” they warned from Cosco Shipping.

Finally, the company reported that it has already initiated the corresponding legal actions to identify those responsible and impose the respective sanctions.
