They positively affect construction costs with the correct use and better product selection criteria
With the aim of contributing to raising the quality standards of PVC pipe and accessory installations in buildings, the Dominican company Corvya leader in pipe manufacturing, is holding regular workshops for its customers.
The training addresses the technical issues of manufacturing, product standards, laboratory tests and visits to production areas. The participants leave with a clear picture of the type of tube for each application, taking as a reference what the Nordom 855 standard indicates. “Technical Standards of the Dominican Republic”, endorsed by Indocal.
These technical training sessions began in May of this year and have impacted 336 people, including clients, builders and students. This will have a positive impact on construction costs with the correct use and better criteria for selecting products that meet the long life expectancy of these.

Currently there is a high rate of repairs in buildings and therefore the costs end up affecting the end user. However, with this initiative there will be a better criterion for the selection of materials and the builders or end users will be able to raise awareness about the impact related to these key decisions for the good performance of the tube systems.
Among the participating clients, the following stand out: L. Estrella; Banilejo Collection Center; Bellon; El Rosario Marketer; Retail Hardware; Ochoa Hardware; Caribbean Mercantile; Manuel Corripio; Distributor 0212; Alvrod Mercantile, Hardware Warehouse; Hache, among others.
These trainings take place at the facilities of the participating companies and others at the Corvi production plant located on Autopista Duarte, Kilometer 24.
