Cortizo appoints José Simpson Polo as the new Minister of the Presidency

The replacement for Vice President José Gabriel Carrizo, in the Ministry of the Presidency, was already appointed this Tuesday by the President of the Republic Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, who appointed José Simpson Polo for the position.

Simpson held the position of National Director of the Special Projects Unit (2020-2023) and also served as Executive Secretary of the Secretariat for Monitoring Execution and Compliance of the Ministry of the Presidency (2019-2020).

In addition to his professional experience, he has been Executive Director of Corporate Services and Finance of the Electric Transmission Company (ETESA); Director of Administration and Finance of the Business and Investment Corporation SA and professor at the University of Panama in Economics and Finance, among others.
