Venezuelan authorities raided offices of the Proluxon company, belonging to the fugitive from justice, prosecuted for cases of embezzlement from PDVSA, Javier Rengel.
This was reported by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, who explained that the company is dedicated to the area of public events in the state of Anzoátegui.
He specified that during the investigations it was found that multiple briefcase companies were operating at said headquarters directly linked to the network of corruption carried out against the Orinoco Oil Belt.
The prosecutor pointed out that the inspection seized vehicles, large-scale printing machines, sound equipment, giant screens, scaffolding, platforms, lighting equipment, computers, among others.
It is important to highlight that Javier Rengel participated in criminal acts through fraudulent contracts in PDVSA associated with the fugitive and convicted in the United States, Jhonnathan Marínformer mayor of Guanta.
Corruption
Last June, in Miami, United States, the former mayor of Guanta pleaded guilty to accepting $3.8 million in bribes in exchange for directing contracts from foreign joint oil companies to government officials and the Armed Forces.
Marín is also accused of planning an attack against the attorney general from the United States.
About the case they have already been arrested two people.
